Topics included in the comprehensive 12-hour presentation are:

1 - Learn what market forces are currently shaping the future of vision care and why you should have urgency for converting to the medical model and why if you do not how ultimately your future success and survival is at stake.

2 - Learn how to successfully integrate the medical model into your vision care practice in ways that will increase net income, patient acceptance and will stop the hemorrhage of free medical care most ODs give away under the vision exam. Discover how our training results in common mistakes that substantially lower your net profit.

3 - Learn how to find more medical care in your current patient base that you could see for workups and follow-up thereby increasing net profits.

4 - Learn how medical insurance companies and Medicare price your services and how to price your own services so that you no longer leave money on the table that they would legitimately pay you.

5 - Learn how to determine which insurance companies you should be a provider for and which ones you should avoid. The best plans pay over 3 times as much as the bad plans. Discover why it's not in your best interests to sign up for just any plan in order to see patients.

6 - Learn how to become a provider on medical plans even when they say you can't join. Discover the primary reasons they say you can't join and how you can overcome them to get on the good plans.

Learn about the frequency of testing, the standard of care for follow-up and how to properly code these visits. Learn about the audit controls or documentation that should be included in the patient record for each condition and where you can go to find out more about these issues via LCDs. 13 - Learn about audit triggers, how to perform self-audits and more about red flags to avoid that will help to reduce your audit risk while legitimately maximizing opportunities for improved reimbursement.

14 - Learn how to use the audit review sheets in you manual that were developed for each medical procedure you might code for in an optometric setting. These audit review sheets will help you to properly document, bill and get maximally reimbursed for each service.

ATTENTION: Previous attendees have again suggested that I strongly recommend beforehand that it is wise to bring all doctors, the office manager and the billing person together at one time so that all are on the same page afterward. There are many paradigm shifts and there is a lot of information to digest in 12 hours of presentation and discussion and so including your key people in this process will ensure that your implementation and profits will come more easily, quickly and that your return on investment will be greater.
